From seasoned actresses like Demi Moore in Atelier Versace, Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan couture, Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta, Elizabeth Banks in Versace and Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab Haute couture, to the younger players on the field like Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier (Finally she looks stunning… I was getting a little worried with her funky little outfits), Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham and Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab, all looked absolutely phenomenal. But who took the cake? That will be the crowd favorite, Sandra Bullock, who also picked up a little gold man for Best Leading Actress in The Blind Side. Bullock’s  beaded Marchesa gown won over the Academy and the Fashion Police in both elegance and and glam.

The Academy Awards is not only known for it’s importance and the life long statement “I’d like to thank the Academy”, but also for it’s funny. And this year, none other than Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin brought the funny. There was everything we had come to expect from the designer — beading, shimmer, puffball silhouettes — so much so we were gasping in delight as we imagined ourselves in frock after frock. Of course, the collection is not for the faint of heart, whether you choose to wear one of his gorgeous gowns or a mini dress from the rest of the line.

When she’s mocked for her looks, the singer takes it personally.

“It has hurt me in the past when people say things like how ‘fugly’ I am or how horrible I look,” she says. “I’ve had to learn not to give it a high priority. When you’re trying to juggle all of this in your life, sometimes you’re not going to look perfect.”

“I don’t have time to get a facial every couple of days.”

The star’s relationship style changed as often as her hair since marrying Josh Duhamel in January 2009, although she’s also had to weather a storm on that front – a cheating scandal involving Atlanta stripper Nicole Forrester.

Like her battle with esteem issues, though, she appears to have prevailed in the end.

“You grow a deeper love for each other, besides the initial lust and falling in love and all of that,” she adds about their marriage. “You come to know each other a lot better, you grow together, and it makes you love each other that much deeper.”
